DishDuck

Restaurant platform

Your restaurant, no middlemen.

DishDuck is the system for the whole restaurant: the menu on the guest’s phone, dining-room orders, the kitchen, the register and delivery, with an app for every person on the staff and no commission on orders.

The challenge

Your restaurant needs its own system, not a middleman.

  • A commission on every order

Ordering platforms keep a share of every sale, and the guests end up being theirs.

  • PDF menus

Guests have to pinch and zoom, they look bad on a phone, and they’re rarely up to date.

  • A system for everything

One program for the register, another for the kitchen, another for delivery: each one costs money, and none of them talk to each other.

DishDuck brings the whole restaurant into one system, with no commission.

What we built

One platform, one app for each person in the restaurant.

  • Eight native apps

One for guests and one for each role: manager, waiters, delivery, register, kitchen, the venue’s server and the owner.

    iPhone and Android

  • A server in every venue

DishDuck Server stays on a dedicated phone or tablet in the restaurant and keeps the venue connected.

Highlights

Decisions that make the difference.

  • Works even if the internet fails

The venue’s DishDuck Server keeps orders, the kitchen and the register running over the staff Wi-Fi, and the menu still reaches guests phone to phone.

  • Grows with the restaurant

A restaurant starts with the menu and adds take-away, delivery and full dining-room service whenever it wants, without switching systems.

  • No commission per order

Restaurants don’t give up a share of every sale, and the guests’ payments go straight to the restaurant’s own account.

  • One app per role

Every app does one job and shares a single core. Each has its own color, so the staff can tell them apart at a glance.
